Sports Engagement Officer

£21,585 - £24,983 per annum

As part of our vision to ‘Become the Most Active Campus Community by 2020’ Warwick Sport is looking to recruit a Sports Engagement Officer to support the growth and development of our Warwick Active Programme to further increase participation across the student and staff population.

This role will provide inclusive opportunities for the student and staff population to participate in a number of social, casual and semi competitive sports opportunities. The programme will be aimed at increasing regular participation across the university community and developing projects that are tailored to the needs and demands of the students and staff population. The role will also include supporting and developing a pool of volunteers across the programme.

Experience of creating new initiatives and organising programmes to increase participation are an essential part of the role. Alongside this we are looking for exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multi task and work under pressure, a passion and broad knowledge of sport and an individual who is a team player and highly motivated to achieve our vision.

In addition, you'll need to be adaptable and have a flexible approach to work, including availability to work evenings and weekends.

Knowledge of Higher Education is essential and possession of an NGB coaching award is also highly desirable.

Universal Football Activator (UFA) and Female Football Activator (FFA)

Salary: £11.45 per hour

Closing date: 29 September 2017

The UFA and FFA act as the student lead to develop football across the University to help design and implement strategies to make football accessible to all. Our UFA and FFA need to have the ability to form a strong, cohesive team to work alongside students and staff to create opportunities and promote this out to the University community.

Casual Sports Operations Assistants

Warwick Sport's programme is packed full of the best activities, events, competitions and challenges, which is why we need enthusiastic Sports operations Assistants who will help maintain our high standards of customer service.

Sports Operations Assistants are the first point of contact for visitors to Warwick Sport. Therefore you should be friendly, efficient and welcoming.

This role is perfect for students who are looking for part time work during their studies. The role involves front of house and basic admin work, always providing excellent customer service.

As part of the Front of House team Sports Operations Assistants are responsible for visitor safety, and therefore lifeguarding is part of the role. Ideally you would hold an NPLQ, however we will also consider applicants without the Lifeguarding qualification.

Personal Trainer

Warwick Sport is looking to recruit Personal Trainers to work within our busy Gym facility. You will be given the opportunity to develop your own client base within our exceptional Gym facility on campus.

Our current membership base is both students, staff and external users. All Personal Trainers must be Level 3 qualified or higher and have their own public liability insurance. In return we offer a competitive hourly rate, all marketing materials and no monthly studio usage fee. Working on the gym floor, this is a fantastic opportunity to earn and develop a Personal Training client base.
