Catherine Reynolds is a tutor within Career Studies.

Catherine Reynolds is a part-time tutor in the Centre for Lifelong Learning where she teaches and supports modules in both the CEIGHE and CDCS courses. Catherine is an experienced careers adviser and trainer. She has worked in various roles in Higher Education since 1994 and was awarded an HEA National Teaching Fellowship in 2006.

Catherine has particular professional interests in the application of career development theory to practice and in career learning. The research for her MA dissertation synthesises theories from career studies, learning and literary studies and develops an approach called ‘career criticism’. The University of Warwick awarded her MA Careers Education and Guidance in 2013.

In conjunction with her teaching work at the Centre, Catherine continues to work as a careers practitioner in Higher Education and as a trainer for the Association of Graduate Careers Services (Agcas). The combination of practice, research and theory informs her teaching.
