CLL Director Dr Anne Hollinshead returns to Myanmar for 20th time!

In October, Dr Anne Hollinshead returned to Myanmar for the 20th time in 8 years. This is part of on-going knowledge transfer and consultancy work focusing on promoting inclusive practice with focus on disability and special needs. Anne works in partnership with a National Association of Myanmar experts ( MSEA) to collaborate with the Myanmar government, Myanmar Universities, NGO’s such as Unesco, Unicef and the British Council.

Association for Academic Outreach Conference 2019 to be held at Warwick this April

Dr. Anil Awesti, Senior Teaching Fellow and Tutor and Jim Judges, Senior Academic Technologist will be reflecting on two examples of the Centre for Lifelong Learning outreach activities at the Association for Academic Outreach 2019 Annual Conference on 27 April 2019.


Pathways to employability? Career development for marginalised migrant women

Ahead of International Women’s Day (8 March), the Afghanistan and Central Asian Association (ACAA) hosted an ‘Empowering Marginalised Women conference’ at the Houses of Parliament on Monday 4 March.

Gill Frigerio, Associate Professor at the Centre for Lifelong Learning presented at the conference: “Pathways to employability? Career development for marginalised migrant women.”


Shortlist in UK Career Development Awards for two CDCS students

The UK Career Development Awards 2019 takes place on March 6 and two Centre for Lifelong Learning students have received nominations. The awards showcase and celebrate the very best UK-wide practice in career development, with three major categories and ten individual awards. This year we are celebrating two of our students being shortlisted in the awards, both for Research Undertaken by a Careers Professional in the Best Practice Technology and Research Awards.
