English Language Requirements

English Langauage web banner

All applicants, regardless of their visa requirements, will need to demonstrate that their English Language ability meets our minimum requirements.

Applicants who require a visa to study in the UK

You will be asked to provide evidence of a Secure English Language Test (IELTS for UKVI), due to the UK Government visa requirements. The list of approved Secure English Language Tests and test centres that have been assessed as meeting the Home Office requirements is available on the UK Government website.

Please note that certain English tests (including IELTS for UKVI) must be taken within the two years prior to the start date of the Warwick IFP.

Requirements

IELTS for UKVI

5.5 overall with a minimum of 5.0 in all components

Applicants who do not require a visa to study in the UK

You will still be asked to submit evidence of your English Language ability if you do not require a visa to study the course, although you may choose to complete a different English Language test to demonstrate your ability.

If you do not require a visa to study you are still recommended to complete an IELTS if possible, as this will enable the team to make a quick assessment of your ability.
