Additional information for International Students

All international students who have accepted their offer will be sent a digital copy in August of the International Guide, which is produced by the Office for Global Engagement.

The International Guide contains a range of supplementary information written specifically for students coming from overseas, including information on how to apply for a visa, what to expect on arrival and a quick reference guide to a wide range of aspects about the University and living in the UK that will be useful to you before you arrive.

You may like to note that the University organises a Welcome to Warwick programme to help international students adjust to Warwick and the UK before the start of the new academic year. This is particularly helpful if you haven’t studied in the UK before.

More details about the programme will be available soon at the Welcome to Warwick website.

A pdf copy of the International Guide will be available from August at www.warwick.ac.uk/go/international

Confirmed Places

Once your place at Warwick has been confirmed you should receive an email asking you whether you require a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). This is needed should you wish to apply for a Tier 4 visa. You will be asked to check and confirm your personal details are correct, as it is vital this information is accurate. A CAS will then be created and details will be emailed to you. You will be able to make your Tier 4 visa application as soon as you have received the CAS and have all other documentation prepared. Information about the visa application process may be found on the Immigration Service website: http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/study/international/immigration

You need to ensure the University of Warwick has a current contact address for you. Please check that all these details are correct on your UCAS application online via www.ucas.com. Updating these details direct with UCAS will automatically also update our records.

If you require a visa to study in the UK we advise that you read the detailed immigration guidance at www.warwick.ac.uk/services/international/immigration
