Why study Education at Warwick?
  • Combining theory and practice, our course enables you to explore education and its related topics from many different perspectives. It provides numerous opportunities to evaluate the aspects of education that interest you professionally, be that working in formal education as a teacher or in other careers where knowledge of education and how people learn is beneficial. By studying the BA Education Studies at Warwick, you are allowing yourself great career flexibility. You are putting yourself in a strong position to continue on to teacher training courses, while also allowing yourself the opportunity to explore many contrasting career pathways that require prospective employees to be informed about how children, young people and adults learn and engage with education.
  • The Centre for Education Studies is a nationally and internationally recognised education research department, with 76% of our research submissions classed as ‘world leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’ (2014 Research Excellence Framework). Our Centre prides itself on being a hub of cross-disciplinary research and teaching, drawing on the expertise of departments across the University.
  • Transferable skills and employability are strongly woven throughout this degree, including a core first-year module developing self-study and reflection, and a second-year work-based placement offering you the chance to work in an educational environment.
