We know how important it is to you to live with other like-minded students. If you inform our Residential Life Team (members of staff living on-site) through you accommodation application about your hobbies/ interests, life-style and the course you will be studying, they will use a matching system to ensure you have something in common with your new flatmates.

Further to this, with each hall having a member of the Residential Life Team living on-site, you can feel safe in the knowledge that your welfare needs will be supported and that there is someone to turn to should you have any problems.

The Residential Life Team will also try to ensure that within each living quarters, there is a balance between males and females and between home and international students. Should you wish to live with the same gender as yourself, we have some accommodation that can facilitate this.

Second years

After the first year, second year students tend to share a house or flat in nearby Leamington Spa, Kenilworth or Coventry which are all well connected to campus by good local bus services. Warwick Accommodation will assist you in finding your perfect student accommodation whether you’re looking on your own or with a group of friends.

Third/Final years

Most third/final year students live off campus however, should they choose to return to halls of residence, they can apply for campus accommodation via a ballot. If Warwick Accommodation is unable to meet their request, they will help them to find a suitable place to live off-campus.

Cars and Bikes

Students wishing to bring their cars onto campus will have to park in pay and display bays and car parks with pay on foot payment facilities.

Cycling is popular amongst students as well as staff and is a cheaper, easier and more environmentally friendly way of getting around campus. Each residence has secure facilities to lock up bikes and there are bike stands outside many of the larger academic departments. There are cycle paths in the surrounding area between the University, Kenilworth and Coventry. If you haven't already got a bike, you can take advantage of the bike auction that takes place at the start of each academic year when the security staff auction off any abandoned bikes and the money is donated to charity.
