Warwick Taught Masters Scholarships and UG Sanctuary Scholarships
Warwick Taught Masters Scholarships – deadline Friday 31st May
The University of Warwick will be offering the Warwick Taught Masters Scholarship Scheme to support eligible postgraduate students in 2024/2025. The Scheme has £500,000 to allocate and we expect to make a minimum of 50 awards. Awards are set up to £10,000 per student and available to eligible Home fee status students from under-represented groups who wish to start a postgraduate taught masters course in 2024/2025.

UG Sanctuary Scholarships – deadline Tuesday 30th April
Warwick’s UG Sanctuary Scholarship applications for 2024 entry are now open. Please note that these scholarships are open to eligible Warwick offer holders/applicants who are seeking asylum, have humanitarian protection or discretionary/limited leave to remain due to an asylum claim and cover a full tuition fee waiver and the equivalent of the full maintenance grant and Warwick Bursary. There’s more information about the eligibility criteria, application process, etc, through the links below and the application deadline is Tues 30th April:

Highly Commended Award for former BA Student
In a remarkable achievement, Emily Swallow has been honored with a 'Highly Commended' recognition in the Literature category at the prestigious Global Undergraduate Awards 2023. Emily's outstanding essay, titled “Holy Capitalism Batman! Exploring the Relationship Between Urban Capitalism and the Hard-Boiled Genre,” garnered well-deserved acclaim. The essay was originally crafted for the module 'Twentieth-Century American Literature'

Student Prizes 2021: Winners Announced
Congratulations to all of our students who are graduating this week. At our graduation ceremony we usually announce our Student Prizes. We have extended the list of prizes this year to reward group work and to acknowledge practice and research separately. As ever, we also want to acknowledge students who have contributed significantly to the Theatre and Performance Studies, the School of Creative Arts, Performance and Visual Cultures, and the University during their time here. This year's prizes are as follows:

GSD students visit Brussels for an enriching academic fieldtrip
On 19th-23rd June, as part of a strategic project funded by the Warwick Innovation Fund and the Warwick International Partnership Fund, GSD organised a 5-day academic field trip to Brussels, focused on past, present and future global sustainable development challenges and responses in the city.
Nine undergraduates were selected to participate in the trip (and received a bursary for this): five students from our GSD degrees and four students from our partner degree Global Studies at UPF, in Barcelona.

In 2022, Sam Matthews Boehmer won the inaugural Global History dissertation prize, awarded to the best Warwick UG dissertation in the field of global history.
