Our staff have extensive experience with electron microscopy of biological and organic materials, and would be delighted to assist with any investigations you wish to carry out. If you have an investigation or experiment you would like to carry out, we would be happy to discuss details, either by contacting us directly or by booking through our Warwick Scientific Services (WSS) web pages.

The Advanced Bioimaging RTP has strong links with both industry and other higher education institutions, helping to image, analyse and solve problems for a range of clients. We can offer advice, set up a plan of work and implement it to give you the information you need about a sample.

This page gives some examples of the kind of experiments we do and what might be suitable for your samples.

Getting started

We always recommend a discussion of your analysis needs and aims before starting on a programme of work. Typical questions that need to be addressed are:

  • What are your samples and what results are you expecting to get?
  • Are any hazards associated wi the samples?
  • What is the most appropriate technique?
  • What sample preparation routes are appropriate?
  • What is the timescale?
  • What format should the results take?

We usually start off with a form followed by a meeting. We can then provide you with a quote for the work.

If you have a long-term need for these techniques we can train someone to carry out experiments themselves. They can then book time to carry out the experiments on the machine of your choice.

Please contact us at s.bakker@warwick.ac.uk to discuss your needs.
