How the awards work

Nominating someone for a staff award is easy. Any student or staff member can make a nomination and submissions can be made for both individual staff members and for teams. You can nominate anyone in any award category - apart from research excellence (academic nominees only). Self-nominations are not permitted.

Follow the steps below to make your nomination. The closing date for nominations is 6pm on Friday 8 January 2016.

Which Award?

There are 10 award categories, including a new Public Engagement award for this year. Read more about the awards, including the criteria for each one, to help you decide which category to make a nomination in.

Submitting your nomination

There's one nomination form this year and you'll need to tell us why your nominee deserves recognition, using the three headings below to help make your case. You can also submit supporting information of upto 1 side of A4. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to consider supporting information that is longer than this.

Overview

Give a clear, concise summary of why your nominee represents Warwick’s values and meets the criteria for the award. Read more on the award categories and criteria to help your nomination.

Endeavour (effort in)

Detail the extent to which the individual or team has gone over and above what would be normally expected.

Outcome (results out)

Summarise what has been delivered, achieved or improved as a result of your nominee's performance/impact.

Judging process

First-stage selection will be carried out by a short-listing panel. A final judging panel, chaired by the incoming Vice-Chancellor, will choose the final award winners. Both panels will include a cross-section of University representatives. Read more on the short-listing and judging panels.

Shortlisted staff will be invited to a celebratory gala dinner on Friday 11 March 2016, where the overall winners will be presented with their awards.
