Dear Colleagues,
Sincere thanks to all of you who attended this year’s Warwick Network staff conference on Monday 12 April. Year on year we’re building on this event, which this time saw even more staff attending and engaging with the range of activities on offer. We also received a record amount of feedback, which will certainly aid our planning for future Network events.
The morning plenary sessions saw inspirational speeches from our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nigel Thrift, as well as from external keynote speaker, Professor Les Ebdon from the University of Bedfordshire. The afternoon plenary provided an opportunity for staff members to ask questions of a panel, comprising representatives from the Students’ Union, Medical School, Economics and IT Services.
A variety of breakout sessions took place in the morning and afternoon, giving staff ample opportunity to engage with a wide range of colleagues from around the University.
We are currently reviewing all of the feedback to see how we can, not only improve the event for next year, but also incorporate comments and feedback into our everyday working practices and build the momentum throughout the forthcoming year.
Although this year’s event has built on last year’s, there is always room for improvement. You can post your thoughts and comments on the Network forum pages.
