If you are starting your studies in October 2018, then you should receive an email about enrolment from September onwards. Note - you must have an unconditional offer to enrol; students who require a Tier 4 visa must also have their visa details. The first stage of enrolment is online and involves uploading a photo of yourself for your Uni-ID card.
Arrive on campus
You must arrive on campus in plenty of time for the first day of term, which is Monday 1st October 2018. Registration with WMG will take place before this on Thursday 27th September 2018. Information about Registration is available here.
It is a great idea to also attend the Welcome to Warwick Programme. However, you should make sure you are free on 27th for registration in the WMG department - this is essential.
Coach pickup services from Birmingham International Airport and London Heathrow will also operate during the week before term starts.
Alternatively, you can make your own way to the campus. Remember, the University of Warwick is in Coventry, not the town of Warwick. The nearest airport to the University of Warwick is Birmingham International (BHX). The train from Birmingham International Airport to Coventry takes 15 minutes, or a taxi to the university campus will cost around £30.00. Alternatively, there are direct National Express FlightLink coaches from London Heathrow (LHR), London Gatwick (LGW), Stansted (STN) and London Luton (LTN) airports to Coventry. You can get the National Express 12x bus from Coventry rail station and bus station to the campus, however, if you are carrying a lot of luggage, taxis are easier and are available from outside the stations.
Register with WMG
Registration will take place on Thursday 28th September 2018.
Registration usually takes 2-3 hours. You will be given your WMG induction timetable and will then have your first introductory lecture with an academic tutor, which will take approximately an hour. The following week will be taken up with WMG induction events and lectures.
If you know you will arrive after 27th September, it is essential that you inform us using the late arrivals form. There are limits to lateness. If you are arriving late, you must still register with us when you get here. If you are an overseas student, you must have a visa valid for study before we will accept you onto the course.
You must make every effort to arrive at Warwick by the start of term. We will try to be accommodating, but we reserve the right to refuse to accept you onto the course if you arrive late.

WMG Registration Information
What should I bring to registration?
If you already have your University card, then please bring it with you. If not, it is helpful if you know your student ID number, since this helps us identify you quickly.
Once registered, you will attend a first introductory lecture which will explain the basics of your course. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, so bring a pen with you. These sessions are open to new WMG MSc students only; friends
attending courses at other departments, agents and chaperones will not be admitted. We may demand to see your ID at any time to ensure this policy is adhered to.
How long will registration take?
You should plan on registration (including the introductory lecture) taking 2-3 hours. We will do our best to register you as quickly as possible, but please bear in mind there will be queues at busy times.
Can a friend or agent register for me?
No. It is absolutely essential that you register in person; you must not arrange for someone to register on your behalf.
What if I am late getting to the UK?
If you know you will arrive after 28th September it is essential that you inform us using the late
arrivals form. There are limits to lateness. If you are arriving late, you must still register with us
when you get here. If you are an overseas student you must have a visa valid for study before we will accept you onto the course.
I’ve already enrolled at the University, do I need to register with WMG too?
Yes. Enrolment at the University and registration at WMG are different; you must do both. The
University will email you in September with instructions on how to enrol.
