Chinese National Science Award for Warwick Professor

Tian HuangThe 2015 Chinese National Science Awards were presented by state leaders at the annual ceremony held on 8 January 2016 at the Great Hall of the People, Bejing. Prof. Tian Huang (pictured with his award), a part-time professor with the School of Engineering, received the second class award of Technological Invention for the achievement in innovation, development and application of parallel robots. Under the sponsorship of “863” Plan, NSFC and Royal Society UK-China Exchange Program, over 20 publications in prestigious international journals form the major theoretical body of this important award as the results of the long-term and very successful international collaboration between the University of Warwick and Tianjin University in China.

Speaking of the award, Prof. Tian Huang said: "It would be impossible for me to receive such an important and prestigious award without the long-term and very fruitful international collaborations between the University of Warwick and Tianjin University."
