Background

I graduated from the University of Nottingham in summer 2020 with a MSci in Physics. My final year project involved fabricating a UV photodetector which utilised a GaSe/InĀ2Se3 heterostructure and investigating its optical and electronic properties, completed under the supervision of Prof. Amalia Patane. Currently, I am completing my PhD with the Microscopy group at the University of Warwick, under the supervision of Prof. Neil Wilson.

Research Interests

My research primarily focuses on 2D materials and Van der Waals heterostructures. In particular, I will be investigating devices which utilise heterostructures formed by combining exfoliated 2D materials and ferroelectric perovskite thin films, which are grown by the Functional Electronic Materials group at the University of Warwick. By combining different materials and device configurations, this work can be expanded to investigate a variety of devices with unique switchable characteristics.
