At an event hosted today by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority the Malaysian Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and the Business Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, The Right Honourable Vince Cable MP witnessed the exchange by Professor Lord Bhattacharyya and Lt Jen Dato’ Wira Allatif bin Mohd Noor of the signed formal agreement for WMG to deliver their world renowned Engineering Business Management MSc at Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM).

Also present at the event were the Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman and International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Mustapa Mohamed.

WMG, in association with Cranfield University, have developed a specific tailored MSc for UPNM which has been funded by Thales.

Lt Jen Dato’ Wira Allatif bin Mohd Noor the Vice Chancellor and Dato’ Jesbil Singh the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Industry Relations and Corporate Affairs along with Professor Lord Bhattacharyya previously signed a Memorandum of Understanding in April 2011.

Professor Lord Bhattacharyya said” We are delighted that this contract between the University of Warwick, one of the UK's leading Universities and Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia has been signed. Collaborating in this way to provide world class education for the future leaders of Malaysia is an excellent way of cementing our bi-lateral relationship and enhancing the prospects for future trade.”
