Our Library is open 24 hours, and it is the perfect place to socialise, relax and study.

All you need to enter is your University ID card, but if for some reason that doesn't work, you’ll find the Welcome Point right by the entrance, where staff are ready to help you with any queries.

Need to find a book? Well, you can do so by using our Library Search or on our website or you could use our computer catalogue.

They will give you a classmark, which will direct you to where the book is located inside the building.

You can also order books ahead of your visit using our Click and Collect service, and once you're here, you can collect the books from the Click and Collect collection point.

We have five floors in our Library filled with lots of books and a variety of study and relaxation spaces.

Relax in our Library Coffee bar or our Breathing Space, collaborate in the Co-Creation Space and study lounges, or if you prefer a bit of peace, work in our quiet zones or designated silent study rooms.

There's also bookable accessible study rooms and sensory study rooms and a dedicated assistive technology area.

If you need to take a phone call, please use one of our phone booths.

Printers, photocopiers and scanners are also on hand and the IT Services helpdesk is also located within the main Library.

When it's time to go and if you want to take a book or five away with you, our self-issue machines are really easy to use.

Scan your ID card and the book and away you go.

Returning books is even easier.

Just place it on the conveyor belt and the machine will handle the rest.

If you need help with anything Library related, our helpdesk team are ready to help you.

If you need more advice on your subject area, then you can have one-to-one sessions with our Research and Academic Support Librarians.

If you want to know more, the Library offers in-person tours as well as self-guided tours with top tips and useful videos.
