Edit or delete a forum post

Forum administrators define the period in which people can delete or edit their replies in the forum properties.

If you're uncertain about your ability to edit a post, email the page contact cited at the bottom of the page.

Note: To edit other people's replies, you must have Moderate topics, Edit or Admin permissions for the forum page.

  1. Navigate to the forum and locate the reply you want to edit.

  2. Hover over the reply, then select the Edit button:

  3. You see the Editing an existing post screen, where you can amend the title and content of the reply:

  4. Select Save changes.

Delete a post

Note: To delete other people's replies, you must have Moderate topics, Edit or Admin permissions for the forum page.

  1. Navigate to the forum and locate the reply you want to delete.

  2. Hover over the reply, then select the Delete button:

  3. In the confirmation pop-up that appears, select Yes, delete:

  4. The deleted post still appears for the user who made the post and anyone with Moderate topics, Edit or Admin permissions, with an alert banner to inform them that the post has been deleted:

  5. To restore a deleted post, select the Publish button. To edit it, hover over the post and select the Edit button, just like editing an active post.

  6. To permanently remove a deleted post, hover over it and select the Purge button:

  7. Another confirmation pop-up appears. Select Yes, delete to continue:

  8. The post is permanently removed from the forum.
