The 2018 Women’s Cycle Tour will again pass through the University of Warwick campus on Friday 15 June. The cyclists will approach campus from Westwood Heath Road, travel up Gibbet Hill Road and head out on to Kenilworth Road in the morning.

This year, the route for stage 3 will start in Atherstone and end in Leamington Spa. We expect the race to come through campus between 10.30 - 11.00am on Friday 15 June. Warwickshire County Council have provided estimated route timings on their website.

The University of Warwick is celebrating Coventry’s latest accolade - European City of Sport.

The City has been announced as winning the title European City of Sport 2019 after a successful bid was made this year by Coventry City Council and key partners including the University of Warwick.

The news comes after Coventry was named City of Culture 2021, in addition to helping to host the Commonwealth Games in 2022 which will be held in our region. The University of Warwick is currently developing a new multi-million pound Sport and Wellness Hub which is due for completion in 2019 and will create one of the best sports facilities at a UK university.

Our contractors, Willmott Dixon, have put together a fantastic video update on how the Sport and Wellness Hubproject is progressing.

A new multi-million pound Sports Hub at the University of Warwick is one step closer to completion after contractor Willmott Dixon hosted a topping out ceremony today, which traditionally signifies the structure has reached its maximum height.

Due to complete in March 2019, the new Sports Hub will create one of the best sports facilities at a UK university.

On Friday 9 June, we partnered with Warwickshire County Council to welcome Stage Three of the 2017 Women’s Cycle Tour to our region and on to our campus.

This summer let your children take part in the sports that you know they love, as well as trying something new for the first time. We offer a range of sporting sessions in swimming, tennis, badminton, football and climbing, in a fun, friendly and relaxed environment. It’s also a great way to meet new friends and to get out of the house over the long summer holidays.

Warwickshire County Council announced that, in partnership with the University of Warwick, the county will be hosting Stage Three of the forthcoming Women's Tour on Friday 9 June.

The launch, held at the world class campus of the University of Warwick where the Tour will pass through, was attended by many of the region's top sportswomen including Kenilworth's World and European Champion rider Ciara Horne of the Cervelo Bigla team.

On Wednesday 21^st October the University of Warwick took part in the One Big Thing initiative. It is designed to encourage individuals to participate in 30 minutes of physical activity at some point during the day, to promote the benefits of a healthier and more active lifestyle.

Well done to #TeamWarwickUni on a great race, the 120 runners associated with Warwick shone like beacons among the thousands of runners taking part in the Two Castles Run!
